CLV is a chain that wants Sushiswap on it. They have users, they want to offer Sushiswap to those users, through their Wallet and platform.
CLV is a Parachain. They can support EVM chains and Polkadot. They want to offer their users the ability to use Sushiswap on their Parachain. They have a wallet and users, so it's a natural next step for them. Sushi is on a roll - this means Sushi gets another chain to add to its ever-growing list of chains. More importantly, this means users of CLV's Parachain will be able to flow into Sushi's ecosystem. Since CLV provides wallet services, it could provide direct-access of Sushiswap to its user-base. Being available on their platform would allow Sushi visibility to the 250,000+ individuals using CLV already. These users are currently carrying out millions of transactions per month. Sushi's community is always looking to expand, so why not welcome CLV users?
Will this take a lot of work? Our Devs are busy!
CLV says no. They're EVM compatible, so they say our Devs will have minimal work to add functionality. Bridging to CLV will be handled by known bridge protocols, so that will not benefit Sushi (or increase workload) since we still lack a bridge solution within our ecosystem.
CLV is also offering 2.5 million CLV and 2.5 million CLV Kusama-Net tokens (0.25% of each's total supply). Although these tokens come with the stipulation that they are used for: testing, implementation, and bootstrapping of the protocol. So likely these funds will simply handle any initial operating costs for Sushiswap on this platform.
