Weekly Round-up (August Week 3)

Head Chef Developments
This week in Sushi sees a continued focus on finding a new Head Chef:

- The proposal to elect Jon Howard as Head Chef with an included compensation package has been replaced with a proposal to decide on the compensation package for a Head Chef based on community feedback.
- This week’s community call was an open opportunity for interested parties to take the stage and signal their interest in the Head Chef position. Four individuals took the stage to address the community: Andy4Pool, HamletMachine, NickHac, and SuperGenius.
As well, if you’re an avid Sushi swapper, you’ll notice that the swap page now has a banner alerting swappers that Sushi is actively seeking Head Chef candidates for August 25th’s community call. Will we see more excellent individuals take the stage to share their visions for Sushi’s path? One can only hope!
Be sure to check out Sushi’s Youtube channel to listen to the new four prospective Head Chef candidates introduce themselves and talk about their qualifications and goals for Sushi!
100sp Holders
Holders of 100 or more SP (SUSHIPOWAH) will note that a new #head-chef-polls channel has arisen. This channel has a series of polls open for voting that cover the options available on the Sushi Forum’s Head Chef Compensation and Candidate Separation proposal.
Meiji Restoration Builds Further Steam
Interest in Meiji continues, with discussion occurring on the Sushi Discord’s #meiji-dao and #osushi channels. A GitHub for Meiji has been created and is open to contributors.
For those needing a refresher the Meiji Restoration Proposal aims to replace xSushi with two aspects:
- The Meiji DAO – Focused on matters relating to overall governance of the Sushi ecosystem by dispensing bounties to parties contributing to Sushi’s health and further growth.
- The oSushi Gauges – Controlling the dispensation of fees, emissions and other granted incentives to further incentivize liquidity providers within Sushi.
