Sushi Welcomes Jared Grey as New Head Chef
The new Head Chef Jared Grey has been in the kitchen for over two weeks. Jared has been working hard to get up to speed on the latest developments being cooked up by the Sushi Team. With all the exciting things in the Sushi pipeline, there’s little time to horse around as everyone at Sushi is diligently focused on the road ahead.
We’re all very excited to see a Head Chef of Jared’s caliber take ownership of operations. As Sushi had been working under the challenge of no clearly defined leader, we all look forward to seeing how the protocol can operate like a well-oiled machine under his guidance and leadership.
Good luck Jared! Your success and the community’s are tied through the DAO. You can catch Jared’s first Community Forum Call since taking the lead as Head Chef here:
Nansen Connect Proposal
Sushi is in talks with Nansen to start a Sushi community on Nansen’s Connect platform. Nansen Connect will allow Sushi users to participate in discussions as they do on Discord but with the added benefit of knowing the wallet addresses of the individuals with whom they engage in discourse. Nansen connect will allow community members to browse each others’ transactions to ensure they’re legitimate Sushi holders. This will help filter the “signal from the noise” – as Nansen puts it –since you will be able to tell if users hold large positions or have transacted smartly on-chain thus providing additional information to consider when weighing the validity of their statements.
Like Collabland and Guild on Discord, Nansen Connect involves connecting your wallet to the application to verify your wallet. Nansen Connect goes a step further by providing end-to-end encryption between wallets. Users may send these messages to any Ethereum address.
Sushi has been invited to create a community for the Nansen Connect Beta that is now live. The channels for Sushi’s community will be locked by various Sushi holding requirements. Due to this mechanism, users may experience less spam and scam attempts, as it is unlikely trolls and scammers will purchase large holdings of Sushi to hunt for whales.
Hello From GoldenTree
GoldenTree, one of Sushi’s largest active holders, has reached out in the Sushi forum to say hello and to introduce themselves.
GoldenTree is a privately owned asset manager with interest both inside and out of the crypto space. GoldenTree’s group that handles its Sushi assets and focuses specifically on crypto assets is GoldenChain. GoldenChain not only wishes to participate in governance as a large token holder, but also believes they can provide valuable insight to the Sushi Team with respect to tokenomics, design, strategy, and maybe more! Their breadth of insight presumably come from their team of 10 crypto natives who have an array of skillsets.
As GoldenChain holds a large position in Sushi, it is safe to assume their objectives are currently aligned with other Sushi holders. We all want to see numbers go up and Sushi’s path be long and fruitful. GoldenChain may prove an advantageous ally when Sushi needs thoughtful input for the complex decisions that lay ahead.
Checkout GoldenTree’s introductory forum post for more details, twitter accounts, associated wallet, and other links! Don’t forget to say hello!
